Sourced from around 560 smallholder farmers in Ethiopia’s Limu region, this washed coffee showcases the care and precision of traditional Ethiopian processing. Cherries are hand-picked, pulped the same day, and fermented for up to 24 hours before being washed and sun-dried on raised beds.
The result is a clean, vibrant cup with exceptional clarity—reflecting both the region’s rich biodiversity and the meticulous attention to detail at the washing station.

Probably a bit of a philistine, but fruity coffees do my head in. This makes a nice, thick dark espresso with good crema like you get on the continent.
Was looking for a coffee that was fresh, tasted good and didn’t give me jitters or some of the other usual side effects. This coffee was it!

Absolutely loved this dark roast! The rich notes of dark chocolate came through beautifully in every drink, whether made with oat or whole milk. The branding is spot-on, and the reusable little bags are a brilliant touch, keeping the beans sealed and fresh. A perfect balance of flavour and presentation. I have been drinking various coffee from Monkey Board but without doubt the Italian Monkey is by far my favourite. I prefer a stronger bean and this gives strength and richness without the bitterness. Haven’t found anything else to match it
