Our Italian Roast is the strongest and darkest blend that we offer. Roasted at an higher temperature it gives a unique taste and smell, delivering an unmistakable kick when taken as an espresso shot and strikes through your milk with a punch.
Great for milk based coffees, these beans are very dark and have a glossy look to them.

Probably a bit of a philistine, but fruity coffees do my head in. This makes a nice, thick dark espresso with good crema like you get on the continent.

Absolutely loved this dark roast! The rich notes of dark chocolate came through beautifully in every drink, whether made with oat or whole milk. The branding is spot-on, and the reusable little bags are a brilliant touch, keeping the beans sealed and fresh. A perfect balance of flavour and presentation. I have been drinking various coffee from Monkey Board but without doubt the Italian Monkey is by far my favourite. I prefer a stronger bean and this gives strength and richness without the bitterness. Haven’t found anything else to match it
